Defining a trade-off

There is a constant stream of decisions we must make in life. This can lead to scenarios where we have to do one thing and choose it over another. This concept of giving up something to gain something else is a trade-off. We experience everywhere, for example, I am trading off my time while writing this, which I could be using to do anything else that is as or more productive. This concept can also be found in the world of digital communication.
